Born from a deep-seated desire to serve the Fostoria community, Serenity Behavioral Health Services was established to be a sanctuary for healing. We saw a need for integrated care that addresses both mental health and addiction with the same level of dedication and expertise.

Rev. Tecky Rusk, MA, LPCC-S, BCPCC
Executive Director
I am a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor-Supervisor in the state of Ohio. I am an Ordained Minister with the International Church of the Foursquare Gospel. I am also a Licensed Board Certified Professional Christian Counselor. I have experience with a variety of Mental Health and Substance Abuse Disorders. I began my educational journey at Vanguard University in Southern California, but eventually received my Bachelor's Degree in Psychology from Grand Canyon University in Arizona, and my Master's Degree in Professional Counseling from Liberty University in Virginia. I am here to serve the needs of you and your family. I have experience with: Grief, Trauma, Anxiety, Depression, OCD, Suicide, Addiction, Bipolar Disorder and more. I am also trained in EMDR and Crisis Management! I have personally experienced my own mental health issues and have a passion for helping others find true peace in the midst their storm.

Rev. Barbara Siegle-Letterly, MA, LPCC
Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor
I am a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor in the State of Ohio. I am also a Licensed Local Pastor in the United Methodist Church. I received my Bachelor's degrees in Psychology and Communications from Heidelberg College (now University) and my Master's of Arts in Clinical Pastoral Counseling and Master's of Divinity degrees from Ashland Theological Seminary. I have experience with a wide degree of mental health and substance use issues, including working with children from ages 4 through adults aged 99+. I believe God desires to "proclaim good news to the poor…bind up the brokenhearted…proclaim freedom for the captives and release from darkness for the prisoners," as well as to "comfort all who mourn, and provide for those who grieve…to bestow on them a crown of beauty instead of ashes, the oil of joy instead of mourning, and a garment from praise instead of a spirit of despair." (Isaiah 61:1-3) I am honored to serve God by serving you and your loved ones. I have a special heart for children and adults with ADHD, as well as past trauma and related depression and anxiety. I also enjoy helping couples see their ultimate potential and strengthening their relationship for the benefit of themselves and their family. When you are in session with me, the goal is always to find hope and healing.

Alison LeBlanc, MA, LPC
Licensed Professional Counselor
I am a Licensed Professional Counselor in the state of Ohio and graduate of Winebrenner Theological Seminary. I have a Master's degree in Clinical Counseling and focus primarily on using cognitive behavioral therapy to help treat an array of mental health issues. My goal as a counselor is to support and help all populations of people work through life's difficult times and trials. I have experience working with children, couples, and adults of ages who are experiencing depression, anxiety, PTSD, relational problems, grief, and substance abuse issues. Professionally, my passion is working with young women and walking beside them as they navigate unique life choices and issues.

Mark Shoemaker, MA, LPC
Licensed Professional Counselor
I am a Licensed Professional Counselor in the state of Ohio. I hold a Bachelor's Degree from Liberty University in Religion: Christian Counseling and a Master's Degree from Winebrenner Theological Seminary in Clinical Counseling. My passion is to come along side people at crucial times to walk with them and provide individualized support. I believe everybody has a story to tell and that their story is important. I have experience working with children, teens, and adults.

Lisa Hablitzel, MSW, LSW
Licensed Social Worker
I am a Licensed Social Worker in the state of Ohio. I received my Bachelor of Arts in Social Work from the University of Findlay. I obtained a master's degree in Social Work from The Ohio State University, with a concentration in mental health. I am a certified Advanced Grief Recovery Specialist through the Grief Recovery Institute. The Grief Recovery Method is an evidence-based, action-oriented grief program that helps people move through the pain of any loss. I am also trained in EMDR through the Personal Transformation Institute. EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) is a therapy that enables people to heal from the symptoms and emotional distress that are the result of disturbing life experiences. I have 12 years of experience as a therapist working with trauma, grief, depression, anxiety, crisis intervention, and other degrees of mental health, as well as substance abuse. My heart is to provide hope to others through evidence-based treatments, and a Christ-centered approach. You are not alone. There is a path to healing.

Maria Sellers, MA, LPC
Licensed Professional Counselor
I am a Licensed Professional Counselor with a retired license in Podiatric Medicine, both from the State of Ohio. After 20 years of practicing Podiatry, I returned to earn my master's degree in clinical counseling so that I could ethically and effectively help others at difficult points in life. I am solution-focused and utilize cognitive behavioral techniques. I find myself drawn to phase of life difficulties; however, I have a love for and genuine interest in all, and I hope you see this in my smile when we meet. I have a life experience that allows me to understand many struggles and provide hope in your journey toward healing and peace.

I am a Licensed Professional Counselor in the state of Ohio. I obtained my Bachelor's degree in Psychology and Criminal Justice from Kent State, and I have a Masters in Counseling from Heidelberg University. After serving in the United States Air Force, I decided I wanted to help others in a different way. I would say I'm solution focused, and utilize different aspects of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. I have experience with all ages, and a wide variety of mental health disorders. I'm here to help you feel equipped and ready to handle the different challenges life will throw at you.

Joni Spink, MA, LPC
Licensed Professional Counselor
I am a licensed professional counselor with 5 years in the mental health field; 18 total years in a helping profession. I obtained my bachelor's degree from Ashland University and later my master of arts in clinical counseling degree from Winebrenner Theological Seminary in Findlay, Ohio. I have much experience using cognitive behavioral therapy and find that I commonly use solution-focused brief therapy, acceptance therapy and strength-based therapy. However, my goal is to meet my clients where they are at, providing a collaborative approach to treatment. I have worked with many mental health concerns including: depression, anxiety, obsessive compulsive disorder, eating disorders, bipolar and mood disorders, domestic abuse, trauma, post traumatic stress disorder, substance abuse and recovery, attention deficit disorders, autism, couples therapy and personality disorders. My passion is to help others heal and lead better and more productive lives.
